Located in the heart of Gustavia on the harbor, Bagatelle St Barth is a sound choice for anyone looking for fine dining and an unparalleled atmosphere. The cuisine, French in style but inspired by local produces and techniques, is fresh and simple, yet sophisticated enough to please those looking for something new, unexpected, pleasantly surprising. Alongside classic dishes, such as the infamous French poulet rôti or pan-fried fois gras burger, the chef has done his best to combine his traditional techniques to St Barth’s Caribbean character: local fish ceviche, roast mahi-mahi or Snapper bouillabesse. The menu also includes a selection of freshly made truffle pizza, a delicacy we think many will succumb to. After dinner, people don’t leave Bagatelle: the house DJ will make sure each and everyone, cocktail in hand, will dance the night away and remember that food and drinks, coupled with Bagatelle’s lively ambiance, packs a punch.
Origin & Concept
St Barth is a prime location in the Bagatelle family, and a déjà vu often occurs when passing by its white-colored exterior: with restaurants in New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Rio, St Tropez, Miami, Dubai and Uruguay’s coastal summer spot Punta del Este, Bagatelle’s reputation extends well beyond borders. Yet its St Barth chapter is somewhat special: its executive chef Sofiane Dridi, whose training include some of France’s most respected establishments (Palace la Messardière in St Tropez, ‘Le Grand Cœur’ in Meribel or ‘Le Manalie’ in Courchevel), combines his classical training with local flavors, making Bagatelle St Barth’s culinary experience a truly unique one.
