At the heart of Gustavia, in an exotic garden, a small recently refurbished local abode is home to Pipiri Palace, renowned for its delightful cuisine and incomparable atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to sample some traditional French dishes, such as onion soup ‘gratinée’, homemade foie gras or grilled rack of lamb with garlic sauce, but also Creole Caribbean inspired delicacies such as spicy black pudding, grilled lobster or fish curry. The specials, all made from locally sourced products, depend therefore on the catch of the day, which can be considered St Barth’s very own quality charter. Finally, to satisfy your sweet tooth, we recommend the soft chocolate cake cooked at the very last minute or the traditional French ‘tarte tatin’, both staples at the charming Pipiri Palace.
Opened in 1997 and named after a small local singing bird, the ‘pipiri’, Pipiri Palace has become one of St Barthélémy’s hidden treasures. Locals and visitors alike love to come here to enjoy quality food in an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness, for an unpretentious lunch or dinner, but still of the highest standard.
